280/365 Today I…fulfilled a girlhood dream

Today I have made a young girl’s dream come true… in 1977 an impressionable teenager saw The Boomtown Rats led by a skinny, long-haired, dangerously exciting young Bob Geldof and fell in love. My dad hated him for his long hair and outspoken, loutish manner. I loved him for exactly those reasons.  I bought all their albums, even joined their fan club but never had the chance to see them at the time. I saw them at Live Aid in 1985, but they were overshadowed by Queen (actually, everyone was overshadowed by Queen).

So tonight, I will be there at Leamington Assembly rooms with Martin to see the Rats, with Bob!! ( still have a bit of a crush on him now).
