230 /365 Today I…picked the last of the beets

Today I picked the last few beetroot from the vegetable plot. I found a good handful of beans and there is maybe one more handful left to pick.

We still have celery but it doesn’t look big enough to pull yet.

Martin has tidied up and dug over the space where the peas and carrots grew on the first plot and where the cabbages and broccoli were eaten by pigeons and caterpillars on the other plot.

Sadly the courgettes and butternut squash have succumbed to some sort of disease, I think. The flowers have all dropped off  and there are no squash, and the courgettes were all leaf and no vegetables.  Chalk that up to experience!

I took a photo of the leaves from the squash plant- as you can see, they are dead/dying from something. Can anyone help?
