156/365 Today I…found a bean

Today I… was watering the vegetable plot and found our first bean!

In fact there are three- but still very tiny (well, they are dwarf beans!) – you can hardly see them. I tried to capture them on my phone- you have to look really hard:

Elsewhere, some crafty birds have been scoffing the cabbage leaves- strangely, not the red ones. One of my workmates needed some more space for runner beans so she has managed to fit them in some spare room on my second patch. We have put some bunting up between the cabbages and the bean sticks to scare the crows away.
I spotted our first scarlet flower on the runner beans- how exciting!

I think in a couple of weeks, we will be harvesting some carrots, and maybe more!
