155/365 Today I…had my first rehearsal

Today I…had my first rehearsal for the short play that Lynden Players will be performing at the Brackley Fringe Festival  on 2 August.   The fringe is “a community festival celebrating and promoting the arts… including, music, comedy, dance, drama, arts and crafts, poetry, writing and story-telling………….”  This is the first time I have been involved- it may even be the first year that it has run.  Anyway, it looks very good with lots of different events at venues throughout the town; the drama day takes place in the Town Hall.

Our play is a 30 minute comedy about a chorus of singers- I play the conductor and have quite a lot of lines to learn! It is a small cast- about 10 or 12, probably all ladies. The original play was written in 1955, but the tell-tale signs that date it have been amended.
I am having lots of fun!
