35/365 Today I…made progress on Operation Bob

Today I… found some materials for what has become this week’s project: Operation Bob.

I visited the charity shop in the village and found a very good quality child’s padded coat for £2.00. It is a nice green colour and just the right size for Bob’s sleeping bag. I plan to cut the back off and stitch it into a rectangle, using the shaped hem at the top. The coat is in excellent condition – almost too good to cut up!

wpid-20140225_220421.jpgI also found some tiny buttons for just 25p which can be used to trim the pyjamas or a shirt when I make them. Mr K has offered to donate an old stripy shirt for Bob’s PJs… thanks Grampy Martin, I will be rummaging through your wardrobe :-D…

No time for sewing tonight- hopefully this weekend. I’ll keep you posted.
